Where Were You?
Like the song in the video says, I was teaching innocent children that day~ 9 years ago. My principal went room to room telling us teachers that the trade center "had been bombed." That was the first thought that morning. I remember watching the news the rest of the day after I got home and the horror and sadness this country felt. It still makes me sad. This video is such a beautiful tribute. Thanks, Linda for sharing this. I'm sure you don't mind that I borrowed it.
Never!
ReplyDeleteI was at work as a Teacher's Aide and VUE. The librarian came and told us that a plane had crashed into the WTC. I remember thinking surely it was a small jet. Once I heard of the other one. I wanted to get out of there so bad and get home to watch the news. I remember many moms coming to check out their children just wanting to be near them. Very sad memories.
ReplyDeleteI was at OBU in Arkadelphia. someone told me that mroning on my way to class, and I also thought it was a small jet, and knew nothing of the details. A little later on, in chapel, we were all informed of the details known and the seriousness of the matter. There was such a quiet sadness in chapel as all of the students thought of te tragedy Also- everyone was rushing to by gas, etc- thinking there could possibly be other terror issues on the way.
ReplyDeleteforgive all of my typos- in a hurry. lol
ReplyDeleteI was at home freaking out because my husband was on a plane about to take off.
